Thanksgiving Success!

August 15, 2013

I committed the cardinal sin of cooking (well according to my husband anyways) and attempted to make a new recipe on Thanksgiving of all days.   It was a beautiful photo in Bon Appetit (aka my bible) in which these sea salt flecked rolls called out to me.   This is not a new occurrence.   In fact if you know me at all it happens pretty frequently.   Next to family and work, food is a big obsession.   So to make a long story short I attempted to match the photo from one of my favorite mags.   I wanted to send the hubs out to get bread as a safety measure, but he assured me that I could do it.   So I mustered up my nerve, and chortled after reading the line in the magazine that said “impossible to mess up”  (yeah right??)   And as you can tell by the title my husband was right.  (just don’t tell him I said that ok?)  Final result is below.
